RISE
The project office is coordinated by RISE, Sweden’s research institute and innovation partner. In international collaboration with businesses, academia, and the public sector, we contribute to a competitive business environment and a sustainable society.
Within the framework of Digital Impact North, we focus on the area of Smart Communities. The operations are conducted from RISE’s office in Umeå.
RISE’s offerings cover a wide range of areas, industries, and sectors. Through trust, commitment, and courage, we provide knowledge, equipment, and expertise to assist organizations in harnessing the opportunities presented by digitalization.
Our services
RISE’s support is based on the steps that your company is currently facing in its digitalization and sustainability journey. After the initial dialogue about your business, risks, opportunities, and needs, RISE’s digital experts can act as a sounding board during a series of coaching sessions to clarify the way forward or present proposals for a tailored plan for your digital transformation journey.
RISE has over 130 test and demonstration environments for testing and developing digital concepts, products, and services. Being able to test and evaluate an idea early on increases the pace of innovation and development, reduces risks and costs, and can expedite market introduction.
Examples of environments at RISE include the Lab for Digital Transformation, ICE Test and Demo Center, UX Lab – High-tech testing environment for evaluating user experiences, Vigeo, RISE GameNode – A virtual test and demo environment for the gaming industry, Cyber Range – a testbed for cybersecurity, DigiCORE, and Digitalization and Smart Cities.
In RISE’s daily work and in various projects, including Omställningslyftet, Viable Cities, and Viable Business Hub, we assist numerous organizations in their transformation efforts. As a result, we have a rich network of expertise, experience, and other companies that have also embarked on their transformation journey to share with others.
