Individuals and organizations face a barrage of malicious attacks\, ranging from data breaches to ransomware infections. \nIn this talk we will analyze a few real-world cybersecurity attacks and discuss about strategies to protect computers from security threats. If you’re ready to take proactive steps in protecting your digital footprint\, join us as we navigate the complex terrain of cybersecurity. \nThe workshop will be in english. \n \nAlexandre Bartel\nResearch in software engineering and computer security\, Umeå University \nAlexandre Bartel is a Professor in the Department of Computing Science at Umeå University. His research interests are in the areas of software engineering and computer security. His work has helped to find and fix security weaknesses in Android applications\, open-source projects\, the Java Virtual Machine and software operated by the industry.

Take part of the workshop by watching the recording. \n \n\n \nOmar Mendoza Trejo\nSwedish University of Agricultural Sciences \nOmar Mendoza Trejo earned his B.S. degree in industrial robotics engineering from ESIME-IPN\, Mexico\, in 2010. He subsequently earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering with a major in mechatronics from CINVESTAV-IPN\, Mexico\, in 2012 and 2017\, respectively. Currently\, he works as a researcher in the Department of Forest Biomaterials and Technology at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.  His research interests primarily focus on the optimal design and intelligent control of mechatronic systems.
